Carr Family Score: Boys 1, Girls 2

On Friday, Chloe and I finally reached a long-awaited deadline. The day seemed to crawl, we were both looking at the clock constantly waiting for our 2:30 ultrasound appointment. Chloe ended up getting home late from work and we drove like the devil was at our heels all the way to Roseville only to find that Google Maps has some improvements to be made to their directions software. Finally arriving at 3:00 we had to wait for what seemed like forever (actually it was 10 minutes) and I was fine, I passed the time making jokes about other people and Chloe sat there growing ever impatient with the world and me especially, love ya hun ;). What are husbands good for? If not to lighten the mood and annoy their spouses, but I digress. We were finally called in by the doctor, who apparently wishes he wrote screenplays for Hollywood, I swear he built up the most suspenseful gender determination ultrasound I could imagine! Talking about the baby, how healthy "it" was, listening to the heartbeat, yada, yada, yada... I'm just sitting there screaming in my mind "C'mon already! What is it?!?!?" And finally he rotated around to our little babys rump to say "See those two lines?" Which from what I understand is highly technical medical terminology for letting someone know they're having a GIRL. (For those of you who don't understand, ask your parents or google). To my surprise I took this news quite well, Chloe on the other hand began crying. Afterwards I was able to talk to her and cheer her up with a few "it's not that bad" and a couple "well there's always next time" (I'm such a comforting husband).
