Time

Events tend to be measured in time. Our life seems to revolve around events and the time since the last event or the time until the next.

3 Months ago I graduated from college (Whew)
2 Months ago I learned I would be having a baby
1 Month ago the DOD began scrutinizing every detail of my life
1 Week ago I received my start date with the NGA, 26 April 2010
Today we put an offer on a home
1 Month from now I'll learn the gender of our child
2 Months from now I'll begin a new career
6 Months from now I'll hold our baby for the first time.
2 years from now that little baby will begin to walk and talk
18 years from now that little baby will be grown up and graduating High School (hopefully)

It's all just a matter of time...

Update on our prenatal competition:

Chloe's 12 weeks along, which means we've known of her pregnancy for 8 weeks now. In that time, Chloe has failed to gain even one pound and I have managed to somehow sweat off 12 pounds. I've put my size 33 jeans into storage and blew the dust off my 32's (which I now have to wear a belt). I'm glad to see the hard work finally paying off, and hope that Chloe will soon begin to catch up to me. She sure tries though, and it's been awesome to see her finally eating a whole subway footlong (I never thought I'd see the day).
